A spatial-data platform rebuilt from the ground up.
For a current client, a spatial-data company, we rewrote the platform, the web applications, and the infrastructure from the ground up, and supported the transition. The client is not named at its request.
What we did
- Rewrote the platform and its web applications from the ground up.
- Rebuilt the infrastructure and introduced infrastructure as code, so environments can be recreated and reviewed.
- Set up Prefect to run and monitor the data pipelines.
- Built advanced 3D and point-cloud visualization for the web.
- Supported the transition from the old platform to the new one.
Why it matters for your product
A re-platform is only finished when the new system is running and the old one can be retired. Supporting the transition, and making the infrastructure reproducible, is the part that keeps a rebuild from becoming the next rescue.
